The main objective of this project is to revitalize rural areas, using indigenous products and promoting
the territory and create new opportunities for local farmers and producers. During this event the local
farmers had the possibility to promote various local products, while their importance for the local economy
and culture was subject of discussion among the participants/interested stakeholders.
The creation of the Food Community was a significant element that aimed to bring together all actors involved
in the food chain to contribute to sustainable rural development. The aim of the activity is to create an action
plan with concrete suggestions for sustainable agriculture, to support farmers using indigenous seeds and to promote
organic farming practices. The implementation of this project made possible to strengthen ties between local communities
and create a cooperation platform that promotes economic development in rural areas, making Rural Tirana a destination
known for the quality of food and the culinary potential it possesses.
